Just like any other type of schooling, a good truck driving school will give you homework assignments and exams while you are there. The homework assignments will cover topics discussed by the instructors during class, and you will be expected to study the course materials so that you will be able to pass your CDL knowledge test. The more you pay attention and learn during the classroom portion of your training, the more likely you will be to pass your written CDL knowledge test the first time! You will also be tested on your driving skills while you’re in training, including backing, turning, and coupling a trailer. In order to successfully complete training and be able to get your CDL license, you will be expected to pass each of the driving tests as well as the written information. A good school will want to make sure you fully understand everything you need to know to get your CDL, so they will give you homework and tests to help you learn.
